2.1-           AIMS AND OBJECTIVE OF THE ORGANIZATION

The District is the most important unit of Administration constituted under the Cr.P.C and Odisha Revenue Administration units Act. 1964. The objective behind constituting the District as a unit of administration is to ensure maintenance of law and order, socio economic development, improvement in the field of Agriculture, Horticulture, Irrigation , Soil and Water Conservation, Animal Husbandry, Dairy, Fishery, Means of communication, Small Scale Industry, Drinking Water Supply, Nutrition, Child, Women & Youth Welfare, Housing, Empowerment of Women and above all Special emphasis on all round development of the poor and downtrodden; and undertaking such other activities from time to time as deemed essential, conducive, Incidental and ancillary for the development of the District.

2.2-           MISSION & VISION :

The Mission of the District is to accomplish the objectives as narrated in the preceding paragraph. The vision of the District is to secure to each and every individual shelter, food, health, Education, Conveyance, healthy environment, Irrigation, Agriculture, Roads and to ensure security of life, property and dignity. The poorest of the poor must feel that the district belongs to him and he / she has his  / her own distinction of being the Citizen of the District. There shall be no case of lack of shelter education, health, death due to malnutrition, lack of health care and food, dowry deaths; insecurity to life and property.

  Collector being the head of the District functions as the Co-ordinating Officer for works of other Dept., Apart from Co-ordination, the Collector may take up any activities which are necessary and conducive to the attainment of the all round development of the District aiming at Providing Qualitative life to the people.
